tokidoki rollerballs @ sephora
Look what I found at Sephora! Tokidoki rollerballs :>
As usual, Tokidoki displays are almost-nauseatingly cute and very eye-catching! Whenever I see a new Tokidoki display, it instantly grabs my attention (my wallet, fortunately, is just barely spared)
Each fragrance is inspired by a particular Tokidoki character. The heads of the corresponding character fit on top of the cap of each...

rimmel english rose with fishnet accent nail
Rimmel English Rose • Essie Pink Diamond • Konad image plate m57
The real colour of English Rose is somewhere between the two pictures.. it’s definitely not a brick red: it’s more of a berry and much cooler, but not as bright as the flash picture. Pink Diamond is a pearly light pink, so it ends up looking a bit like a subtle nude on top of English Rose. I got a lot of compliments...

In the meantime, check out http://fuckyeahbeautyaddictkitty.tumblr.com —awesome new meme that I’m sure many of you will enjoy and relate to (see below) ;D

bright sunset gradient nails
I tried a gradient nail look with Revlon Mad About Mango, Essie Flirt, and Rimmel English Rose. The result is waaaay brighter than I expected but I kind of like it and it reminded me of a sunset. I think I picked shades that were too close to each other, because the gradient effect is really subtle unless under bright light. Even under flash it’s hard to see Flirt and English Rose as two...

Do you live in Vancouver? If so, you need Daiso in your life. It has everything, and usually for only $2. Almost all of my makeup organization stuff is from Daiso.
I bought a nail polish remover pump bottle from Daiso recently—you just press down on the top of the bottle with a cotton pad and it dispenses a perfect amount of nail polish remover.
Other things I love about it:
easy to use...

review: revlon luxurious color satin eyeshadow in...
I’ve been super busy/stressed/sleep-deprived over school projects recently, but finally, a new review!
Peacock Lustre was really an impulse buy: Ulta had buy one get one 50% and the colour was just so pretty and unique to my current stash of shadows. I don’t have a teal quite like this, since it leans more green than my other shadows. It sort of has a foresty-green base (I’m...

testing colour combinations for konad
I apply the polish to a piece of clear tape, stamp it, then put it on my nails to figure out if I will like the look. Don’t judge me, it works!

wishlist wednesday: beautyblender sponge
I have been using a flat foundation brush for the last few years to apply liquid foundation, but lately I’m feeling that using a cosmetic wedge/sponge gives me slightly better results for a more natural and flawless finish. But using disposable wedges feels a bit wasteful, which brings me to today’s Wishlist Wednesday item…

revlon-heavy haul
I picked up lots of drugstore goodies during an adventure to Washington state. I ended up buying a lot of Revlon products: two Luxurious shadows (Vintage Lace matte and Peacock Lustre Satin, ColorStay Brow Enhancer, lash adhesive, and a quad in Silver Fox. On the skin care side, I bought Garnier Moisture Rescue lotion and gel-cream, as well as the tinted anti-dark-circle roller. Everything else:...

first konad manicure!
Essie St. Lucia Lilac • white Konad Special Polish • Konad image plate M57
This isn’t the prettiest set of nails but I thought I should document this ~special moment~ in my makeup journey, haha. The trickiest part of Konading for me is not the nail stamping itself but applying the top coat afterwards. You need a really light touch to avoid smudging the design (see: rightmost finger) while...

fotd #15 wedding reception
I definitely could have pulled up the grey/black more since it’s an evening look, I guess I’m still shy about more dramatic makeup. I’m still struggling to master applying falsies too. Fun fact: 5 of the products that went into this look were being tested/used for the first time. I’ve hidden the products under the cut since it’s a rather long list.
Face:

wishlist wednesday: escada taj sunset eau de...
Taj Sunset is Escada’s current limited edition offering for summer 2011, and you know I’m a sucker for fruity florals. Since I despise all things coconut, I wasn’t sure I’d like its coconut cream base but I tried it on at Ulta and didn’t pick up on it at all. I gotta say that I really like it.
It’s fun, delicious (not cloying!) and perfect for summer.

orly ancient jade
I picked up this polish on a trip/adventure to Washington State at Ulta. I really wasn’t looking for another polish but it instantly caught my eye. I was so excited to try it that I attempted it in the middle of the night while super tired after attending a family wedding—and ended up falling asleep after doing one coat on my right hand. I finished it when I woke up in the morning,...

new favourite pieces
Talk about a slow turnover—I took this picture back in May when it was a little bit colder (hence the black leggings), although the weather isn’t that much warmer now that it’s June. I love the dark blue floral print skirt and turquoise cardigan so I had to take some detail shots; it’s hard to tell that my cardigan is striped based on the outfit picture alone.
