It turns out it’s pretty hard to find a decent picture of King Endymion D:

Alternate title: really simple smoky lavender eyes ≧Д≦
Backstory: So a handful of bloggers decided to do two Sailor Moon-inspired looks each: one after a hero/good guy and one after a villain. I joined the collab a little late in the game after my favourite characters were already taken, and I ended up rolling with the only non-Senshi of the group for the good guy look, King Endymion.

First FOTD in a long, long while :> Please see my review on this lipstick for a more accurate idea of its bright yet deep (and super-hot) red.
Attention: Lise Watier launched a contest in honour of International Women’s Day yesterday: not only will Lise Watier put $1 towards Lise Watier Foundation (which provides financial assistance and a supportive environment to girls and women) for every photo of a kiss sent in, but your photo has a chance to win you a Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacquer. Please consider submitting your picture—all it takes is a quick snap and post from your phone!
It turns out I look like a total jackass making a kissing face, so I’ll spare you the horror of posting that picture here. (You can, however, go hunting for it in the photo gallery.)

I definitely could have pulled up the grey/black more since it’s an evening look, I guess I’m still shy about more dramatic makeup. I’m still struggling to master applying falsies too. Fun fact: 5 of the products that went into this look were being tested/used for the first time. I’ve hidden the products under the cut since it’s a rather long list.

I had a friend’s birthday dinner to go to right after work (no time for a pit stop at home!), so I had to doll up and go to work that way. False lashes feel sooooo weird because I’m not used to them. I think it was only in hour 8 of wearing them that I got used to them—I had to make some emergency repairs two or three times because they started coming off at the corners.
I think I’m wearing Carmindy by Sally Hansen blush in Cherub. Yes, most probably.
PS I’m wearing GOSH Loose Powder and Lip Gloss Pencil in Gypsy Red that I talked about in a haul post. The loose powder provides heavier coverage than the Marcelle Loose Powder I usually use. I’m really happy with Gypsy Red; it’s a lot more wearable than I expected.
PPS My hair looked like that for only about 20 minutes before it flattened itself out.

If you didn’t know, I’ve started my very first co-op work term this fall. It’s really exciting and I’m learning a lot but I have to wake up at 6 am to get ready and make the commute. This is a pretty typical “work face” for me; I usually skip liner and even eyeshadow, but I was feeling fancy today (9___9) and applied a wash of shadow on my lids.

Face:
- Neutrogena Intensified Day Moisture SPF 15
- GOSH X-Ceptional Wear foundation in 14 Sand
- Physicians Formula Powder Palette Multi-Colored Face Powder in Highlighter (yellow/pink for undereyes, green for redness)
- Marcelle Face Powder in Translucent
- Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips bronzer in Waikiki Strip
- NYC Color Wheel Mosaic blush in Rose Glow
Eyes:
- Rimmel Lycra Lash mascara (one coat)
- Urban Decay eyeshadow in Stash (lid and lower lashline)
- Wet n Wild Arch Envy in Brunette (pencil and wax)
Lips:
- Blistex Lip Medex Balm
- Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 042 Just So

Normally I wear only lip balm or Korres Lip Butter. I don’t really wear lipstick but like nail polish, it’s something I’m trying to get more into. Is this what you’d call MLBB (my lips but better)? Just So is a really natural and pretty pink. I’d like to write a review soon, but right now I’m still testing it out.

The other day I watched the newest episode of Dragon Ball Kai (a recut of Dragon Ball Z with less filler). Imperfect Cell makes his appearance and I felt like doing an eye look inspired by him—so weird, amirite? My fotds are my makeup right before I’m about to head out; this is the first one I’ve done specifically for the blog, so it’s more ~adventurous~ I guess.

I put a lot more thought into this than I normally do, so this fotd has a lot more rambling in it :x

Yesterday Jenelle and I took a roadtrip over the American border to shop. Although we weren’t able to pick up much in the way of clothes/shoes/accessories, we got tons of makeup that is unavailable or hard to find in Canada (haul post coming soon!) I woke up late that morning, so I decided to just keep things simple and easy with a neutral eye.

Face:
- Neutrogena Intensified Day Moisture SPF 15
- L’Oreal Skin Genesis Eye Serum
- GOSH X-Ceptional Wear foundation in 14 Sand
- Rimmel Recover concealer in 200 Soft Beige
- Physicians Formula Powder Palette Multi-Colored Face Powder in Highlighter (yellow & pink for undereye circles
- Marcelle Face Powder in Translucent
- Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Bronzer in Waikiki Strip
- NYC Color Wheel Mosaic blush in Rose Glow
Eyes:
- Rimmel Recover concealer in 200 Soft Beige (as primer)
- MAC eyeshadow in Naked Lunch (all over)
- MAC eyeshadow in All That Glitters (lid & lower lashline)
- Urban Decay eyeshadow in Underground (crease & outer lid)
- MAC Fluidline in Ostentatious
- Rimmel Lycra Lash mascara
- Rimmel Style & Shine clear mascara (brows)
Lips:
- Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast SPF 15 lip balm
- Quo Jumbo Lipgloss Stick in Nectar

I think I need a better crease brush. I’m currently using the Quo Crease Brush and I don’t feel like it deposits a lot of colour. Needless to say, I need a better camera too :x

In a Washington mall, we found this awesome crane machine full of Domo-kuns. They look like an angry army trapped in a glass box. I kind of regret not playing it now :(

Here’s my look for the first wedding, which I had mentioned would be in a separate post—partly because I actually had the time in between rushing here and there to take some decent-ish detail pictures, partly because I put more time into the look and really liked it.

I finally pulled my GOSH effect powder off the sidelines!
